LICENSES
Deadlines for Montana big game licenses is March 15 for elk/deer, June 1 for antelope, and April 15 for Black Bear. Bear hunters must take a bear identification test and obtain license before season opens in April. Licensing can be done or more information found on-line at MTFWP. https://app.mt.gov/Als/Index
Separate upland bird licenses and waterfowl stamps can be purchased on arrival.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
With the passage of voter Initiative 161, the state of Montana has eliminated the "Outfitter Sponsored License". Starting 2011, a Licensed Montana Outfitter will no longer be able to guarantee a sponsored license. Licenses will now be acquired through the general draw process. Hunters should make deposit and booking arrangements with Central Montana Outfitters as soon as possible to reserve an opening for your desired week to hunt. If a hunter is unable to draw a license, Central Montana Outfitters will immediately refund your deposit.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking your big game hunt (this does not pertain to hunters unsuccessful in license draw). Half of the remaining balance is due upon receiving your license in April, with final balance due 30 days prior to your hunt.
